Wooly Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 July 2026 · Wersja polska

This is an English translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancies, the Polish version (Regulamin) prevails.

§1. General provisions and definitions

  1. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the rules for using the Wooly web application (the "App"), available at www.wooly-app.com.
  2. The service provider and administrator of the App (the "Administrator") is Elżbieta Klupsch, correspondence address: ul. Władysława Broniewskiego 14, 76-200 Słupsk, Poland, e-mail: contact@wooly-app.com.
  3. A "User" is any person who has created an account in the App and uses it.
  4. Wooly is an app for people who knit: it includes a stitch catalogue, an abbreviation dictionary, a yarn finder, a row counter, a gauge calculator, and a personal yarn stash and project journal. The App is bilingual (Polish and English).
  5. The Terms are made available free of charge on the App's website, in a way that allows them to be downloaded, stored and printed.

§2. Account

  1. Using the App requires creating a free account and signing in.
  2. An e-mail address is required to register. The password must be kept confidential and must not be shared with other people or entities.
  3. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  4. The User may delete the account at any time in the App settings or by writing to the contact address. Deleting the account means deleting the content stored in it, in accordance with the privacy policy.
  5. The Administrator may block the account of a User who violates the Terms or standards of decency. The User will be informed of the block and its reason by e-mail and may appeal against it under the complaints procedure (§10). In the case of a permanent block, at the User's request a refund is due, proportional to the unused subscription period.

§3. Free and Premium features

  1. After signing in, the following are available free of charge: the Stitch Catalogue, the Abbreviation Dictionary, the Row Counter and Ravelry database search.
  2. Premium features include: the Gauge Calculator, My Stash, My Projects, the yarn library with substitutes, and adding your own stitches, techniques and yarns.
  3. New Users receive a free 7-day Premium trial, counted from activation. A counter of remaining days is visible in the App.
  4. After the trial ends, access to Premium features requires a paid subscription of $4.99 / €4.99 per month or $40.99 / €40.99 per year. The subscription renews automatically for subsequent periods unless cancelled earlier.
  5. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, acting as the merchant of record — the formal seller of the subscription, responsible for payment, invoicing and tax settlement. The terms of payment are also governed by the Lemon Squeezy terms. The subscription can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the paid period.

§4. User content

  1. Content saved in the stash and projects (notes, photos) is private and visible only to the User who saved it. Photos are stored in the Supabase database.
  2. By submitting a stitch, technique or yarn to the shared library, the User declares that they hold the rights to the submitted content and grants the Administrator a non-exclusive licence to make it available in the App to other Users after approval.
  3. It is forbidden to post content that is unlawful, offensive, pornographic, paedophilic, racist or infringing third-party rights. Such content will be removed and the account blocked. In the event of a breach of the law, the relevant authorities will be notified.

§5. Licence and acceptable use

  1. The Administrator grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal purposes, for as long as the account exists.
  2. Elements of the App — including the interface, graphics, texts, logo, and the layout and contents of the databases (stitch catalogue, dictionary, yarn library) — are protected by copyright and belong to the Administrator or are used under licence.
  3. The following in particular are prohibited: mass downloading of database contents (scraping), the use of bots, attempts to gain unauthorised access, reverse engineering, reselling or sharing account access, and any actions that disrupt the operation of the App.

§6. AI-generated images

Some stitch photos in the catalogue are generated by artificial intelligence and are clearly labelled in the App. The illustrations are indicative — the knitted result may vary depending on the yarn and gauge.

§7. Technical requirements and availability

  1. Using Wooly requires an up-to-date web browser and an internet connection (the Row Counter also works locally).
  2. The Administrator makes every effort to keep the App running without interruption, but reserves the possibility of technical breaks. Users will be informed of longer breaks in the App.

§8. Liability

  1. The Administrator provides the services with due care and is liable for the conformity of the digital content with the contract under the rules of the Polish Consumer Rights Act.
  2. The Administrator is not liable for content posted by Users, for interruptions in the App's operation caused by circumstances beyond the Administrator's control (e.g. infrastructure provider failures), or for data loss caused by the User's own actions.
  3. Instructions, stitch descriptions and substitute matches are provided for guidance only — the Administrator is not liable for the result of work carried out on their basis.
  4. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits consumer rights arising from applicable law.

§9. Personal data

The rules for processing Users' personal data are described in the Privacy Policy, and the rules for the use of cookies and local data in the Cookies information.

§10. Complaints

  1. Complaints may be submitted by e-mail to contact@wooly-app.com or in writing to the correspondence address given in §1. A complaint should include a description of the problem and contact details.
  2. Complaints are handled within 14 days of receipt; the response will be sent by e-mail.

§11. Withdrawal from the contract

The User may withdraw from the Wooly subscription at any time without giving a reason. At the User's request, a refund is due in proportion to the unused subscription period (counted from the moment the request is submitted). The Administrator has 14 days to process the request.

§12. Out-of-court dispute resolution

A User who is a consumer may use out-of-court means of handling complaints and pursuing claims, including the assistance of municipal or district consumer ombudsmen, the regional inspectorates of the Trade Inspection, and permanent consumer arbitration courts in Poland. Details are available at uokik.gov.pl.

§13. Final provisions

  1. Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by Polish law, in particular the Civil Code and the Consumer Rights Act.
  2. Disputes with Users who are not consumers are resolved by the court having jurisdiction over the Administrator. In disputes with consumers, the competent court is determined by generally applicable rules.
  3. The Administrator will announce changes to the Terms in the App or by e-mail at least 14 days in advance. Changes do not apply retroactively.
  4. These Terms are effective as of 10 July 2026.
